Years ago, during my college days, I was in a phase where my stammering ‘iceberg’ was growing deep down… Acceptance was unknown then. And writing did give me a vent. But writing about stammering upfront? That was something I couldn’t have ever imagined that time. So, I decided to pen down a poem, which symbolizes “Stammering” and the difficulties a PWS has to go through. I would like to share the same poem to all my friends here. The poem is titled : “Bird in the Cage”.

What can be the relation between IPL and stammering; not even the best of spin doctors can conjure up one. Right?
Wrong, here is one -
Rajsthan Royals have been my favorite team since this IPL jamboree began; and one man is responsible for it – Shane Warne – the greatest ever leg-spinner.

This meeting was attended by three people, I, Tanoy and Krishna. Krishna joined us late by around 11.30 AM and we had started our activities before that. We decided to synchronies the breathing and speech in which we speak after inhaling fully and exhaling a bit. We started with reading a passage and presenting the same. It was followed by discussing about the recent movie watched by us.

Hi Team,
Last six months have been very eventful for me. In October' 09, I lost my father; and it took me considerable time to come to terms with that, Then I was very busy with my office work. And once things began to look like returning to normal, my brother-in-law had an accident. Thankfully he survived, but two of his colleagues passed away.
All this meant, I could not give TISA as much time as I would have liked. But I realize, this can't go on for long. So here I am - returning in full force. To begin with, I will be available daily from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM for voice chat on Skype (my handle is n.tomer). All those interested to talk, please send me a mail (

And be ready for a lot of me; don't say I didn't warn you :-)
Cheers

"Then, there’s the cumbersome challenge of stammering. “It’s mostly a psycho-social disorder that can be tackled through counselling or occupational therapy if started from a young age,” said Dutt. It becomes a little difficult to treat in older patients, which is why he feels self-help groups, like the city chapter of The Indian Stammering Association which meets at Cubbon Park every Sunday, can make a huge difference..."
