Merit Position!!

So after a long time, we won another trophy in school, that too in Junior Wing of one of the prestigious schools in Chandigarh – Satluj Public School. And the trophy was presented by none other than the principal Mr.Pritam Singh Serai. After the prize distribution we were invited to the principals office for a round of snacks!!
The event was an awareness session on stammering for the junior wing teachers of Satluj Public School, and Reekrit and me were the presenters. We started by showing them what stammering is and then had a continuous interactive session for around 40 minutes. While we answered a lot of questions from the teachers, we also showed them a few clips of young students giving message to their teachers about how they feel when they stutter. We ended by giving them suggestions as to what they can do to help a child who stutters, wherein in between we showed a video clip from the documentary “Speak to Courage” where a teacher is interacting with a child who stammers in his class and he gives her all the time she needs without interrupting/completing her sentences for her! We would like to thank all the teachers and principal sir for staying after school hours just to attend the session! It shows that they do CARE for their students!
