We were only two members(Mahipal and myself) for the meetUp.
When we are able to manage how to communicate with others and get things done then no matter if we stammer or doesn’t stammer. And this what TISA supports “communication rather than fluency” and this is all we needed for life.
We decided that we shall never face or see a problem to do things in life as a PWS so we started trying to conquer every fear which we faced so far in Life so in that lines in November first week was Bus ka Sawaari week and this week it was Metro Train ka sawaari.
We started from Begumept metro train station, we both took tickets individually standing in a big line.
It was my 2nd time in life to stand in a line and take ticket for MMTS trains.
My turn came and i stammered and took my ticket, wow soooooooo good !
The ticket counter guy saw me and waited for me till i said station name and then gave me a ticket !
Wow same with Mahipal also, he also took ticket with stammering at ease !
We tried to stammer at ease by any means !!
With excitement we went to platform and waited for train to come, in course of time for train arrival we practiced slow speaking.
Train came and we stepped in, we even tried to talk in train in vol.stutt style. People looked at us but we didn’t care as Stammering is Just another way of speaking.
From Begumpet we traveled to Hi-Tech city station and from there we went to Lingampally station and from there to Faluknama station and from there back to Begumpet station. So we stood 4 times in a line to take tickets on that day.
Final result was we can take tickets by our own in Life ! So satisfying day it was.
We cherished the tickets which we took in station as a token of achievement and conquering proof for ourselves 🙂
We finally said bye to each other and signed off the SHG MeetUp.
Together We Step Up 🙂 Together We Succeed 🙂
