Post workshop experiences

I have returned back to my workplace after 2 weeks at Herbertpur.

It was an awesome experience and enjoyed it well; grasped more in-depth secrets of stuttering mindset.

I called few participants of recent communication workshop held at herbertpur.

The experiences of most of them were similar to me; everyone was highly charged up and motivated when he returned back to his place and they were taking more chances and speaking more openly

But, gradually their confidence and acceptance level is going down.

It is an EVERYTIME experience for me that after coming back from a workshop, my motivation level exhibits an AC current like graph…initially, highly up and then down and then up and then down….

But, now i come to know that everyone feels the same.Talking to them,we all were motivating each other.

Today also, i am experiencing those long blocks and those irritations when someone laughs at me.

Today also, i tries to hide my stammering and speak fluent.

Today also, i feels down …very down due to anticipation of stammering blocks….but , yes, workshop has its positive effects…no doubt about it

And, it is a long term project…no doubt about it

Thanks for frank sharing. very much needed. In Upanishads, a thought recurs: self-realization can be achieved by self-effort. If 100 people pray for me, that will not make me know who I truly am. I learned about it by reading Vivekanand in my youth. That self-effort has to be applied for everything in life- including communication skills, new job, friends.. everything! No one can gift you the happiness and the fulfilment you deserve. It cant be bought with money: so many pws know it well.
So, my message to you and other participants of CommWS is: Stand on your two legs and charge ahead. At the most what can happen? a block? You have already lived with it for 20+ years. So why fear?
    Best wishes!
