Following Social Media policy was resolved by the TISA Core Group and brought into immediate effect from 1st July, 2023:
Change is Life. Change is also an opportunity to revisit our priorities and refocus. Here are some important changes:
TISA will follow the “One group” policy and focus all its resources on its telegram group. TISA has no connection or responsibility to other groups. IWWS too is now an independent and autonomous entity.
For any issues related to IWWS, please contact their admins directly, through Dr Sweta.
For any issues dealing with TISA, contact National Coordinator, Nikhil. For any donations to TISA, you may contact, TISA President, Harish Usgaonkar. He is the only person authorised to receive funds meant for TISA.
TISA social media: These are our only authorized groups or channels. Our announcements go only on these channels :
www.stammer.in (Official Website)
Telegram group (Write to email@example.com to join)
TISA Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pg/TheIndianStammeringAssociation/)
Instagram handle (https://www.instagram.com/tisa_india/)
Twitter handle (https://twitter.com/TisaIndia)
YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/indianstammering
Anything anywhere else should not be assumed to be from TISA. Cross-check with those groups and platforms.
Finally, TISA will continue to focus on its foundational theme: self-help for Indians who stammer, be they of any gender, any region, any creed – and – without promoting any self-interest or personal promotion.
Can Co-ordinators Create Social Media Groups/ Channels for their local groups?
Local SHG Coordinators and leaders may create groups for the purpose of coordination between members, organizing meetings, and other purposes, however, the local leaders take accountability and responsibility for these groups. Under any circumstances, TISA as an organization is NOT responsible to such groups. It may also be noted that having the name “TISA” in the group/channel names doesn’t make TISA as an organization accountable for any activity, or untoward situations whatsoever in locally managed groups.
