Kapsonians For A Cause is a non-profit, non-government organization which is an initiative by the students and doctors of KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur. Founded in April 2017, Kapsonians For A Cause currently has a strength of 50 odd membes in its core consisting doctors and medical students, backed by  the entire Medical College itself (with a strength of nearly 800). Excluding this, it is always receiving volunteers and well wishers alike.

Because of its diverse workforce the ‘Cause’ in Kapsonians For A Cause is very vast and stretches online and offline.

On ground Kapsonians For A Cause organises Health Camps, ORS Camps, Orphanage visits, Awareness drives and various donations to those in need. In our inception year we have organised three health camps including a Pediatric Health Camp, an ORS camp, distribution of warm clothes during the winter and donations in cash and kind for the relief of those affected in the Dakshin Dinajpur floods last year.

Our online reach spreads far and wide over Facebook and Instagram where we constantly post updates about current affairs and have our student workforce continuously sharing articles on awareness and various issues. It serves as an academic outlet with a social agenda.

We are always looking for new members to join our workforce and contribute in any way possible. Similarly we are looking to join larger groups that share our goal for the betterment of our society. We are one of the only Non-government organization of our kind with active doctors contributing to the welfare of the society backed by a Medical College in Kolkata, and the only Medical College in Eastern India to have such an active and prolific social workforce consisting of medical students, interns and doctors working together.
