It was a beautiful cloudy ⛅ Sunday morning. And cubbon park 🌲🌳🌴 was absolutely beaming in bright 🔆✨ green 🟢!!!!
Today, we had a *new member* of bangalore shg, *Somya*, joining us. He is from orissa. And moved to bangalore a few months back.
We began with a few physical exercises.
And then sat for a while in silence, with eyes 👀 closed.
The physical body and mental body are indeed interlinked. With physical activity, comes a certain physical balance and stability, which also creates mental stability. This helps to reduce the mental noise, and helps us to sit in silence for a while😇
The session began with Somya, our newest member, introducing himself. It was so lovely seeing Somya express himself so beautifully. This is the magic 🎩🔮of the space 🌌 of SHG. All those years of repressed emotions, unexpressed thoughts, feelings, all the pent up frustrations- they all find a platform to be expressed. That’s how the shg works as a space of pure magic, allowing all the emotional baggage to be released slowly. That’s how healing occurs.
The joy on Somya’s face after expressing so much, said it all.
For all those who want to express themselves, this is the platform.
We then practiced a round of *Bouncing*. Bouncing with ease, with a smile on our face. We discussed about the benefits of bouncing.
Following that, we began with the *topic of the day*: An act of *kindness*, we have done, or witnessed, or read. Everyone had to give a 5-7min speech.
*Vaibhav* spoke beautifully about how kindness lies in the small things. Kindness is in giving, without expectations. He rendered it beautifully.
*Somya*, at his first shg, was fully prepared. He had written down his speech as well, although he didn’t read from it. His preparation showed, as he delivered a beautiful speech. He spoke about an incident with a zomato delivery agent, where he was at the giving end of an act of kindness. It was really beautiful.
*Tapan*, gave an extempore speech. As always, Tapan spoke with lot of passion. He lived every word. He spoke from his heart. His words were very impactful. One incident he shared- whenever he is driving 🚘, he always waits for the passers by to cross the road. And whenever he does that, they give him a smile or a thumbs up 👍, which makes him feel so good. It makes his day.
He spoke beautifully.
*Aditya* went next. He brought a lot of humor into his speech. It was very light hearted. He and his wife are part of an NGO which takes care of stray dogs 🐶🐕.
I shared a bit about dr sachin, a bit about few of the spiritual beings who have laid a beautiful roadmap for so many of us to find our way inward.
Just as we were about to wind up, *Rishikesh* joined.
We had a light and fun interaction with him.
And then, we wound up our lovely Sunday shg!!
It was still cloudy ☁️☁️
We all enjoyed our walk out of cubbon park
