English translation to this news article…Article named as “Stammering….becomes nothing, it transforms to smaller one…”
In this highly competitve world, communicating our thoughts is more important. So if a person has stammering than it is difficult. So to face the world with great confidence TISA was established. It is self help group.
TISA was started by Dr.Sachin Srivastava from Dehradun. He himself was a PWS. To make other PWS live with confidence and live without fear this self help group was established.
He met many people in exploring stammering.
He has learnt new lessons from associations so he wanted happen to all other people.
By sharing feelings and learning new lessons from associations is the main idea of Sachin.
In 2002 he started a blog for writing on stammering and he supported others to write blogs and their feelings.
All the bloggers who are early members first met in 2006. It is then TISA was chalked out for bigger steps. Now it is in many places of India.
TISA meetings happen on every Sunday. In those meetings they have many activities where they can get confidence in speech patterns.
Stammering is tagged as physiological stress, breathing related issues and many other things.
So the meetings are centered around them like breathing exercises followed by self introduction round, book reading, singing songs style speaking, loud shouting activity where people stay apart from each other and try to talk loudly.
In these activities all members give suggestions to every other members in their speech and share their feelings on stammering.
In such activities Prolongation technique is the one which will be helpful to many in their stammering.
Prolonging first syllable sound of the word for sometime and then trying to speak is the way it goes like if you wanna pronounce “Park” it goes as Paaaaark.
Slow reading practice is used where we get ample time to breath easy in between words and have good phonation.
Sometimes they try to go to shops and malls and try to do voluntary stuttering where members try to stammer voluntarily and try to observe their feelings as well as other peoples’.It helps in de senstizing the stammering and its feelings.
Internet help
Every day 15-20 people between 9pm to 10pm do skype and google hangouts meetings using internet.
They discuss how to deal stammering, how to crack interviews, group discussions etc..
Whatsapp groups are also used to share daily feelings on stammering.
Ramu says “I was trying to search in internet for my problem and i found TISA, that is how i joined TISA in 2013.
In this three years i saw a lot of change. Raja Poladi, Rajesh are among other members who got good control on stammering.
They settled in their in life and they allocate valuable time for TISA for sharing their feelings. They are one my role models”
After attending and failing in 10 interviews, i resorted to TISA and now i got a job.
There are around 70 plus members in Hyderabad alone.
Siva says “After completing BTech, i stood first in first level of selection process. But i was rejected for my stammering. I thought i shall control my stammering and feelings.
After research i came to know about TISA and i used to daily participate in google hangouts. Now i draw a salary of 40 thousand”
The tisa website www.stammer.in and tisa blog holds success and failure stories of members and suggestions by other members.
It is assimilation of many good articles.
TISA has around 6000 members. Stammering is seen one in a hundred people.
Hopefully in future everyone who stammer shall be a part of TISA is the main goal of Sachin.
If that is true then 1 crore voice will say “Thanks Sachin ji”.
