Talking to a group of social workers..

I got myself invited to a meeting of community health workers of Anugrah on 31st July 2010. Anugrah is a organization working for children with special needs. They have also kindly provided us a hall to conduct our TISA SHG activities on Sundays for free. I was given one hour- and some more, because I was going to talk about stamering, while stamering. Yes, this can be a challenge sometime for the speaker. Fortunately I was able to get Parmanand, my old SHG friend also to participate. He too shared his testimony. The group asked some interesting questions: about cure, what is their role etc. We had good fun. I stammered initially and five minutes into my presentation, I forgot all about stammering! And then I was my old self- giving a good participatory presentation. I started with a video clip of some young Indian PWS sharing their issues and perceptions. That was a good starting point.
Thank you Robert, thank you Anugrah and HCH!
(The pic above- please ignore my slippers; it was raining dogs and cats that day..So I just went out in slippers!)
