Hosting an hangout session experience

I Attended a TISA stammering hangout session after a long time. I last joined when I was in my college and it seems that technology along with TISA have reached a lot of places which is not limited to cities or towns. It feels so good to be a part of such big association. Association which is functional mainly because of volunteers and very less management interference. What feels good here that we have such a big platform and this is built without having any management or MBA kind of person. It shows what sheer will of a person can do.

Anyway, I was sharing the experience of hosting. Honestly speaking, I had forgotten that I need to host the meeting. Had Bhupendra not reminded me.It would have been really bad. Anyway I joined at correct time ie. 9PM and instantly realized that it would have been better if I had joined earlier; That way all the pleasantries had been done and we could focus mainly on agenda there. Anyway, lesson learnt. I had hosted many F2F SHG meetings before but I faced new challenges when I hosted this. I understood that the activities should not be a lot big and everybody should get a chance to speak. This all needs to be done in 1 hour. In order to do this, one really needs to have good time management skills.

In the midway I realized that I was having issued with my network/laptop. Hence I called Bhupendra to come and join and give me some time to get my things proper. When I joined back again and saw Bhupendra managing the meeting I realized that I had a lot to learn in this area also. This I have been realizing from past few weeks in a lot of sectors. After that, whole meeting was hosted by Bhupendra and I was an observer taking hints and clues for the next Saturday. This was a self realization for me trying to host a meeting. I understood I tried going to battle without preparation and faced the consequences. Now I learnt my lesson and waiting eagerly for the next time I host hangout session.
