A Report on National Conference Bengaluru 2018

The much-awaited yearly event of TISA “National Conference 2018” occurred in Bengaluru from 29 September to 1 October.

Day – 1
1. Inaugural Ceremony {Lightening of the lamp by Mr. V. Manimaran (TISA Chennai Chapter Coordinator)}
2. Welcoming Addresses ( Brief Introduction to TISA, Brief introduction to SHG, Details of Bengaluru SHG, An overview of three days in National Conference, Ground rules in NC by Mr. Apupam Saxena ( TISA Bengaluru Chapter and Mr. Harish Usgaonker ( TISA National Coordinator, Chief Editor )
3. Mini SHG (Introduction to SHG, What we do in SHG meeting? Introduction to Techniques by Mr. Dinesh Mr. Naman )
4. Communication Workshop (Voice Training) by Mr. Animesh Shrivastava and Ms. Jonali Das
5. Guest Speaker (Story Telling) by Mr. Animesh Shrivastava (Classical Performance Storyteller)
6. Speaker: Ideas and Motivation for Self Help by Mr. Joshua B
7. A Talk with Dr.Tushani (Speech-Language Pathologist)
8. Open Mic and Talent hosted by Ankit Devra and Nishil Shetty

Day – 2
1. Yoga (Fitness and fun with stammering – by Mr. Tarunidhar Thummaluru )

3. Vipassana Meditation ( Brief Introduction and sharing the personal experience; by Mr. Advait Kulkarni )
4. Parallel Sessions on Mock Interview and Interpersonal communication by Mr. Abhinav Singh and Mr. Naman Mirchandani
5. Emotional and Psychological aspects of stammering by Mr. Anupam Saxena
6. Stranger Talk Lead by Mr. Chandan Nagaraja
7. Standup Comedy by Ms. Pooja Vijay ( India’s first Stammering Comedian )
8. Guest Speaker ( Entrepreneurship challenge with a focus on stammer ) by Mr. Pradeep Soundaranjan; Founder CEO of Moolya Testing and App Achhi
9. Open Mic and Talent Show

Day – 3
1. Zumba ( Fitness dance performed to energized music ) by Ms. Anuprita Patil
2. TISA Women Wing (Discussion on Women Who Stammer and Dedicated Self Help Group by Ms. Shilpa Sagwal; Scientist and TISA- WWS Coordinator
3. Best Practices for Self Improvements by Mr. Dinesh Singh Chauhan
4. Entrepreneurship talk with Mr. Abhinav Singh
5. Massive Open Online Course ( MOOC ) for People Who Stammer by Dr. Sweta Ruparel
6. Stammering Awareness Workshop by Ms. Pamela Mertz ( Board of Director at National Stuttering Association in USA and Distinguished Toastmasters.
7. Closing Ceremony ( Prize Distribution and Endnote for Participants ) by Ms. Jonali Das
