Summary of yesterday’s bangalore shg meet up:
From right to left: Rafiq, Vidya, Sai ram, Vaibhav, Rizabul, Arjun, Akshay and Christo, with Amandeep in the far background.

This Sunday shg began with a beautiful breakfast at Upahar darshini in jaynagar 9th block. The thought of having a nice sumptuous Sunday morning breakfast was the stimulus many of us needed to wake up early, and reach on time😉
We tried our round of voluntary stammering (or In most cases, involuntary stammering😉) while ordering our favorite idli, vada, dosa, etc.
With our bellies full, we were already fulfilled!!! 😇
The plan for the day was to visit an old age home 🏠 nearby. The name of the place is Belaku.
We were all excited as we stepped inside.
There were 4 very beautiful elderly women and a cook.
Sitting with them, interacting with them, listening to their stories, just being there was simply amazing. It filled our hearts ❤💞 immensely.
Leaving all our tags and labels behind (person who stammers, member of tisa, different roles, students, professionals, old age people, etc) – just being there as beings and connecting with fellow beings was something truly blissful.
We spent about an hour there. Didn’t even realize how one hour flew.
There was fun, laughter, songs even (Akshay sang a marathi song).

As we left from there, our hearts were filled to the brim!
We then decided to visit the famous temple nearby, Ragi gudda.
Walking up the hill, taking in the lovely breeze and soaking in the beauty of the place, just made our day even more joyful, full of love and peace.
We ended with a very brief debriefing.
Rafiq, who was attending his first shg, expressed how overwhelmed he was with spending the day as we did.
The general consensus was, as we spend more time with different groups of people and broaden our horizon, we come out of our limited self serving perspective of life. We can break out of our cocoon and experience and explore life to the fullest, as it is!!!!
Overall, this was one memorable shg!!
Looking forward to seeing more of you next Sunday!!!
