At SHG today, we decided to fill out a similar grid to: 1) help us look at our stammering in an objective/neutral way 2) see how we are improving, or how we could improve 3) have a common language at SHG with which to talk about our stammering, share
Here are the different types of difficulties we listed:
– Silent Block/ Air Block
– Struggled Repetition
– Silent Block w/ Airflow
– Gag Reflex / Ulti Feeling
– Throat / Head / Jaw / Neck / Hand Movement/Tension
– Facial Distortions
– Eye Contact
– Emotions: shy, anxiety, guilty, inferiority, embarrassment, self-pity, jealousy (comparison with others)
This SHG meeting, we went through Session 2 in the TISA SHG Manual Guide (you can download this if you upload something/anything writing to Scribd).
We had fun in the session where we made up a story while using bouncing. We talked about a Princess, Owls, Empire, Party, Sleeping Pill, and marriage. Chinmay, Vishal, Srinivas, Saurabh will be writing more about their experiences at SHG.

Yes recognising and naming these behaviours is the FIRST step, towards dealing with them..
