TISA is conducting one day awareness workshop for people who stammer at SANT ISHER SINGH PUBLIC SCHOOL, Phase VII , MOHALI on 08.05.2011 (Sunday) from 10 am onwards. The emphasis will be on awareness, general issues like role of acceptance versus “cure” and to clarify any doubts relating to stammering. JP and Nitin have kindly consented to conduct the workshop and answer your questions.
We are also trying to explore the possibility to invite a speech therapist who understands the role of self-help in long term management of stammering. Around 20 PWS have already given consent for participation in the workshop. Participants from the Herbertpur workshop are also expected to join us and share what they may have learned.
We are extremely grateful to the management of SANT ISHER SING PUBLIC SCHOOL and particularly its principal Mrs. Sandhu for kindly allowing us to use the premises for conducting the workshop.
