(June 11, 2011 - 1:22 pm)I am really disappointed by this statement –
I say that the petitioner (TISA) is making a very general statement by saying that stammering leads to significant difficulties throughout a person's life which is definitely not true in case of each and every person who stammers…
What is the basis on which they file this statement? How many PWS have they interviewed or consulted before making such a statement?
Good film-makers will not show such an insensitivity towards any of the issues concerned with the society…
An apology of any sorts, that if stammerers have been hurt inadvertently, then we apologize would be a much responsible response.. rather than straight denials…
I am disappointed!

(June 11, 2011 - 4:27 pm)i havnt seen this movie, though i have watched the movie trailors on various tv channels.
While seeing the trailors with my hostel mates here, i used to feel a bit uncomfortable as what they might be thinking about me at that moment(just like a typical stammerers thinking process).
Now, after reading the reply of movie makers, i would like to make below mentioned comments :-
1.) They might not have shown stammering as a mental deficiency problem (as Shreyash talpade has been shown having a number of good friends including girls too). But there is no doubt in the fact that they have used stammering as a tool to make people laugh throughout the whole movie (as i can guess by seeing the trailors), which have humiliating impacts on each & every stammer for sure who have come across this movie.
2.) As pointed out my Mr.Harish, their statement on TISA is absolutely baseless. They have no clue about the struggles/difficulties faced by a stammerer at all, otherwise they wouldn't have shown stammering as a habbit to laugh at.
3.) We all PWS should not seek any appology or so,rather we must affirm our basic motto 'Better attitudes through knowledge' i.e.to spread a lesson to the society (specially entertainment professionals)that stammering is not a thing to laugh at.

(June 13, 2011 - 7:25 am)how film maker can say
"stammering leads to significant difficulties throughout a person's life which is definitely not true in case of each and every person who stammers…"
i had gone to watch movie in theater with my close friends and movie impact was so strong on me that i was trying to hide my stammering from them(usually i don’t not hide)…which lead to worse situation , my stammering got increased many time.
I am sure that goolmaal3 force disfluent children into stammer,
movie showing stammering as bad thing and naive disfluent child develop hatred toward disfluency which may lead him/her to stammering

(June 13, 2011 - 6:30 pm)I think TISA should contact BSA or any other organization to get help in this matter.
I am giving some links about research studies which show relationship between bullying and stammering. I am not sure whether it would be helpful or not.

(June 14, 2011 - 4:02 pm)Thanks Himanshu! Your links are quite useful. I am sharing it with our advocate and see, how she can make use of it. Can you search for some resource, showing a link between Movies and the behavior out in the streets or home? Some study showing that movies promote a certain behavior like bullying?
Feel free to email it to me at satksri at gmail dot com
