KOLKATA CELEBRATES SHG IN DIWALI

Yes,it
is possible only for Arman, new member of Kolkata,SHG. We were five members
there, Pratimda, Suvodipda,Santu,Arman& me(Soma).After a few confusions
about statue or photo of Victoria(Arman said that he was in front of photo of
Victoria along with Santu, but it was statue of Victoria!!!!),we met together
atlast& we started the meeting with brief introductions of us.
Arman
& Santu are new members in TISA. They explained their experiences regarding
stuttering. Arman has done a 2 month cource of speech therapy in Kolkata &
he said that he is improving day by day.He practices breathing exercises, yoga
daily for 1 to 2 hours (kudos to Arman!!!).Santu has come from Tarakeshwar(2-3
hrs train distance away from  Kolkata)
only for this SHG(that’s great Santu& it will motivate many newbie members
to join us).He told that his speech problem arised since class 7 standard &
it is due to overspeed of his speaking style. Then, Suvodipda & Pratimda
explained about the concept of acceptance that the more we accept our
stuttering, the more we become relaxed & also stuttering reduces to some
extent.Pratimda well-defined stuttering as psycho-physiological disorder &
explained very nicely the reason of it.He has also told about his motivational
talkings to TarakGodaria& the flash of Delhi NC which he heard from
Kushalda.Then I told them about slow speaking& prolongation style(which I
usually try to implement).

After such discussions,we
said good-bye to each other & we promised that we will organise SHG atleast
once in month. We spent a great Diwali evening(we missed Kushalda too) & yes
Kolkata SHG is growing up day by day….
