7th TISA National Conference @ Chandigarh

Hey Folks, Hope you all are doing fine. We know you are excited about the TISA 7th NC and here you go. From today onward we are opening the Registrations for everyone. Before briefing you about the Registration process and other details lets know something about where TISA’s National Conference is going to happen. This year TISA’s core members has decided to conduct the 7th National Conference in Chandigarh “The City Beautiful”. For those who don’t know much about Chandigarh here is a short intro about Chandigarh and we promise that we won’t make it bummer for you. (Those who knows about Chandigarh can read it too. May be you will find something compelling that will interest you.)

About Chandigarh

Chandigarh is a city and a union territory in India that serves as the capital of neighboring states of Punjab and Haryana. Thus, the city is not part of either of the two states and is governed directly by the Union Government. It is located 260 km (162 miles) north of New Delhi, 229 km (143 miles) southeast of Amritsar and just 116 km (72 miles) southwest of Shimla.Chandigarh was one of the early planned cities in post-independence India and is internationally known for its architecture and urban design. The master plan of the city was prepared by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier.

Highlights about Chandigarh

1) There are total 56 sectors in Chandigarh. Each sectors measures 1200 meters by 800 meters, covering 250 acres of area. PS: Sector 13 doesn’t exist in Chandigarh.
2) In Chandigarh, you would not notice any statue in parks or at the roundabout, a condition of the architect Le Corbusier. Also there are no billboard or hording in Chandigarh.
3) The network of roads in Chandigarh is called the 7V’s, with the vertical roads called the Paths and horizontal roads called Margs.
4) Chandigarh’s official emblem is the ‘Open Hand’ which signifies peace and reconciliation. The open hand sends a message of ‘open to give and receive’.

12. Cancellations Policy:

Considering special cases, any cancellations before 30 days from the check in date (i.e before 30th August 2017) the venue authorities would refund the amount paid after deducting a nominal admin charge of 5% of the total estimated billing. Any cancellations thereafter until 15 days to check in date (i.e 31st Aug 2017 – 15th Sep 2017) 50% of the billing value would be charged as retention to the company. 100% retention would be charged for cancellations of groups for less than 15 days to the date of check in(16th Sep – 30th Sep 2017). No Show would be charged 100% retentions too.

13. Scholarships Program

Those who want to apply for scholarships, should fill a Google Scholarships Program Form “https://goo.gl/forms/HKosjeJS5ZJBoG7s2“. Then, the scholarship team will contact you and review their request by asking them questions like:

1. What is your profession? Student?
2. What is the family background?
3. Reason for asking a fee waiver or discount?
4. Any other questions that needs to be asked to qualify his/her request.

We are locking total 40 seats for Scholarships with a discounted fee of just Rs. 1500/- per seat. This includes

Fooding (all meals and snacks for 2 days and Breakfast, Lunch, Tea/snack for third day) and,

Lodging (in dormitory)of the National Conference.
