The much awaited event of TISA (The Indian Stammering Association) is back!!This time in Jaipur on the 27 September.Over the years this 3 day event has been a turning point in the lives of many people who stammer. Every NC (National Conference) has been unique experience in it’s own way. Within 3 days, this event can challenge all the notions you had about stuttering, I assure you, the person who goes into the event will not be the same who comes out.

This is a a sort of event you may call a ‘Celebration’. A real rejoicing of our diveristy. Such an event should not be measured in terms of what happens there beacause what happens there in terms of events and programs in nothing compared to what you undergo as a person in those 3 days.

Okay,all that is fine , but what happens in this event? how does it benefit me ?

To begin with, being in proximity with hundereds of stammers is a remote possibility on this planet , in addition to that these are extremly supportive allies who have walked your path, who understand you like nobody can. When hundereds of people gather with an intention of helping each other, of sharing, of acceptance, the very air holds a different energy.“The power of intention”.

In addition to all of the above, we organize various talks by experts from various fields-speech therapy,mental health,spirituality etc and also talks by people from our community , these are the people who desipite the weight of stuttering trying to pull them down have risen the ladders of success in there life. We have members in our community who own start-ups, huge bussiness , work for tech-giants like Google,Amazon and are teachers, proffesors and Civil servants.When such a diverse crowd gathers, all with one intention, you can be rest assured that something really special is created in those 3 days.

We have various fun activities planned as well, as a ritual for TISA events, we make it a point to go to nearby subway, parks or nearby public places and spread awareness about stammering, we talk to strangers!!!….this activity alone has inspired a lot of stutters to face there fears and become confident speakers. The feedbacks we get after every NC is just so positive that we sometimes fancy doing it two times a year!.
