My experience of organizing the National conference 2019 .

Hi all .
I am M K harsh from bhopal madhya pradesh .

First of all , i will take you all to bengaluru NC ,because the story of organizing bhopal NC is connected to bengaluru NC .
Amit kushwaha sir ,on the last day of the bengaluru NC told me in the morning that “harsh we are going to host the next NC ,so please be ready for that .
I in my mind thought that ,how on earth we will host the NC,we have a very small team back in bhopal, but till then amit sir had already finalzed all the things .

Now the search for hotels began.
I personally had called 15-17 hotel managers , and had sended them our requirements on the mail .
Negotiating with the hotel managers , and calling them, explaining them our requirements was such a difficult task in the beginning but with the guidance of amit sir ,everything went well.
Around march end ,the venue  was finalized .
I was just awestruck with the commitment of amit sir, that he had paid 20 thousand rupees from his own pocket ,for booking the venue .
That day i thought that if amit sir can pay 20 thousand from his own pocket ,then i have to only work hard for making it a sucesss .

Then we had opened the registration link on april 1st .

Here , i would like to thank our calling team , who had called each and every memeber of TISA and had told them about the NC.

Now ,i will tell you about the activities that were performed on all the three days of the NC .

1st day of NC -27/09/2019

The first day of the NC was started by meditation session .

Then the NC officially started from 9:30 AM with the welcome note by the bhopal SHG members .

Sachin sir inspired us with his short speech of 15-20 mins .

Our first guest speaker was Mr. Rampal Singh .
Rampal singh sir despite his one leg doesn’t function well , he is running his buisness brilliantly .
He told about his challenges , that how he was denied from a job because of his problem but he never chose never to give up.
In front of rampal sir’s problem ,our stammering is nothing.
Rampal’s sir session ended at 12 PM .

After the tea break , we restarted our session from 12:15 pm.

Next session was of open mic for those participants who had came for the NC for the first time .
Many participants had given their introductions, some had sang thier favourite song ,some showcased their dance talents.
Moreover,it was like an ice breaker session ,so  that no participant should feel nervous, for the next three days of the NC .
We ended the open mic session at 1:30 PM ,from 1:30 to 2 PM there was lunch .

After the lunch there were parallel sessions .

1. SHG coordinator -Guidance on conducting effective SHG meetings was lead by Sweta mam and vikrant sir .
We had got some great insights that how to conduct effective SHG meetings ,and how to prepare the agenda , how to motivate other members to participate in the SHG members .
It was such a great learning session .

2.Communicaation ,interpersonal skills session was lead by pradip rajput and smit panchal sir.
They told us about the basics of good communication skills such as maintaining eye contact , keep a smile on your face while talking ,don;t fall prey to time pressure , if we went in a deeper block .
I had attended both the session , and learnt a lot from both the sessions.
parallel sessions were ended at 4 PM .

After the tea break , we had the prepared presentation session .

8 participants had given their presentations and all of them had given their presentations on the topic other than stammering , which was very nice because as stammerers we just focus on stammering , but the members focussed on other topics . We had a wonderful session .

After 6 PM ,there was an open mic session , till 8;30 PM.
It was very nice to see the first timers were particpating with full enthusiasm .Everybofy enjoyed a lot during the open mic session.

From 8:30 Pm we had dinner , day 1 ended .

Day 2-28/09/2019

DAY 2 started  with the meditation session from 7 am to 7:45 AM for reducing the anxities and for the better focus of the participants throughout the day.
From 9:30 we had a session “gupshup with Dr.sachin sir”.
Sachin sir told us about , what is acceptance of stammering , why should a stammerer should also focus on other aspects of his life such as his/her personal life ,his/her studies etc .
It was such a great session .
One thing that i would like to mention here is that ,i was meeting sachin sir for first time in person , but it never felt like i was meeting him for the very first time ,in my life.

Next , was the session of “A Dose Of Inspiration” by Manish Upadhyay sir from 10;30 AM to 11;45 AM
manish sir , is a Tedx speaker ,a corporate trainer and a stammerer .
Manish sir ,told us about the current trends in the market , where the market is heading , what will be the future of the market and how can a stammerer can get ready and can secure a job or can start a venture of his/her own .

After the tea break session , from 12 PM to 1 PM there was a screening of the short movie :”yes, i stammer by mohit sir .
Mohit sir, is a poet and a recovered stammerer .
It was such a nice session .

From 1 PM to 2 PM there was lunch .

After the lunch from 2 PM to 3 PM as a energizer activity ,there was an open mic session .
Various participants showcased thier talents in different fields .
Members were again charged up for the rest of the day .

From 3 PM TO 3:45 PM ,there was a session of”sowing the seed of entrepreneurship”by balli joshua sir was from bengaluru.
Joshua sir is a very senior member of TISA .
Joshua sir is a succesful entrepreneur and he shared his valuable experience with us regarding the market and how can a stammerer can do wonders in today’s scenario .

FROM 3:45-4;15 PM there was a tea break .

From 4:15 to 7:30 we had the “stranger talk session”

My group was gone to bhopal boat club for the stranger talk session , we had conversed with around 20-25 people and we learnt a lot during that session .

we returned to the venue at 8 PM .

From 8:30 PM we had dinner , day 2 ended .

Day 3 -29/09/2019

Day 3 was started with some martial arts training by joshua sir from 7 AM to 8:30 AM .
We learnt some basic techniques of self defence in that session .
It was something different and very interesting .

we kicked off our third day from 9:30 Pm .

From 9:30 Pm to 10:45 there was toastmasters showcase meeting which was lead by Manoj dalal sir from mumbai.
Manoj sir is a very senior member of TISA and also he has been connected to the toastmasters club from last 5 years .
In that session , we learnt that how should we begin our speech , how to speak in an easy tone , how to modulate our voice during our speech and most importantly how to finish our speech within the given time limit .
It was such a nice session and we learnt a lot of things,to how to prepare and how to present our speech .

From 10:45 AM to 11 AM there was tea break .

From 11 AM to 12 PM there was an inspiarational talk session .

Mahendra singh rathore sir , who had also won 50 lakhs in KBC 7 gave us a very inspirational talk .
It was such a great learning experience to meet rathore sir in person.

From 12 Pm to 1 pm there was “family and friends session”

My parents also came on the third day of the NC , they spent 5-6 hours with our TISA family .
This session was organized because a stammerer needs major support from his/her friends and family.
Sachin sir had also given a short speech pf 15 mins , on the topic that why the support of family is very important in the life of astammerer .

From 1 pm to 2 pm there was lunch session .

From 2 PM to 3:45 PM we had skit competition
There were 8 teams and each team had presented their skits within the given time limit on various topics like education ,child marraige etc .
It was such a joyful session.
i had first time taken a part in a skit competition in my life .

From 3:45 Pm to 4:00 Pm , we had tea break .

From 4:15 onwards there was the session of awards and feedbacks.

day 3 ended .

My learnings from the NC –

I was not having any idea of organizing such an event on such a large scale 12 months back
My biggest learning would be , that i had learned that how to organize such a large event under the guidance of amit sir .
We started from the very scratch and we succesfully organized the NC .
My second biggest learning was that , first time in my life i did the anchoring on the stage .
I stammered heavily but all the members listened to me patiently .

At last , i would like to thank all the senior members of TISA for the constant support and guidance .

Thanks for reading the long post pateintly .

Just one wait for you brother —> Bravo !!!! You have started your joourney now, let it flow and become what you want to be.

You actually reminded my days with TISA in 2012 NC and the 2015. TISA is always like a next family and a biggest boon for us to find and redifine stammering in other level which is very much needed to all of us.
