“When the time is right, everything falls into place,” my life at this moment echoes this sentiment. A couple of days ago, as usual, I prepared the content of a presentation but allowed my collegeue to present it because I was terrified that I would stammer. This incident awakened the guilt in me that I was denying myself the recognition I deserved. I chanced upon the TISA website, contacted Dhruv and attended the first meeting today.
I am happy after attending the first meeting of TISA Ghatkopar, Mumbai. The reason being, I broke the shackles of denial and accepted that I am stammerer, and met a few fellow stammerers. Together, we talked, gave a speech and shared feedback, which is important. This is because, in real life, we don’t get to receive feedback that propels us to work on our oral communication skills. Our goal is not to make good public speeches but communicate effectively, orally. May many more of us join TISA to align with this goal.

You, Dhruv, myself – all of us have been thru those feelings – of doubt, regret, fear.. But someday, we have to confront them- as you did! Keep meeting and inviting new pws. This is how we can create a vibrant atmosphere, wherein new comers can quickly step out of these negative feelings and attitudes.
